Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
C. G. Jung
I practice from a psychodynamic, depth psychotherapy tradition, which prioritizes understanding what lies beneath the surface of the problems we experience in daily life. Unlike approaches focused on quick fixes or linear progress, depth therapy values the integration of all aspects of the self and the exploration of one’s inner world. Rather than conforming to societal norms or labeling individuals, I believe in honoring the unique complexities of each person’s experience.
In my practice, I cultivate a warm and compassionate space for deep inner exploration. I will help you develop coping skills, examine and shift patterns, envision your future, process deep emotion, and foster a deep and compassionate connection to your Self. I love to integrate dream work, art, music, mindfulness, meditation, and active imagination, which may involve dialoguing with different aspects of the self like the inner child or other inner parts (sort of like meeting and talking with the characters from Inside Out). Most importantly, I prefer to work at your pace, allowing things to unfold in their own perfect time and addressing them in a way that feels authentic and resonant for you.
