Therapy for Teens
Teens Today Are Carrying A Lot.
Â
Being a teenager isn’t just about “figuring yourself out.” It’s navigating a world that often feels overwhelming — with the pressure of school, social dynamics, identity questions, and the constant presence of social media. Add in the aftermath of the COVID pandemic, and many teens are feeling more anxious, isolated, or unsure of themselves than ever before.
Â
As a therapist who works closely with teens, I offer a space that feels safe, real, and not performative. Many of the adolescents I work with are struggling with anxiety, attention difficulties, disordered eating or body image concerns, friendship or school stress, dating relationships, family conflict, or feeling disconnected from their sense of identity. Sometimes this shows up as shutting down, irritability, risky behavior, or changes in eating or sleeping — all signs that something deeper might need immediate attention.
Â
I specialize in supporting teens who may be struggling beneath the surface, even if they’re putting on a brave face. I meet them with warmth, non-judgment, and curiosity. They don’t have to explain everything perfectly or know what they need — we figure that out together. My teen clients feel my genuine care for them, and I truly look forward to seeing them each week.
Â
If you’re a parent noticing concerning changes in your teen — emotionally, behaviorally, or socially — therapy can be a powerful place for them to feel seen and supported, and to vent without fear of judgment. I deeply value my work with teens, and I’d be honored to walk alongside your family in this season.
